Education

Energy, Mechanical engineering, Material science and Environment (EMME)

The EMME programme is a 3-year long Engineering Degree.

The skills of an EMME Engineer

  • Design and develop complex systems (predominantly fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, and energy systems), taking into account technico-economic and environmental constraints
  • Compute, dimension, and develop manufactured products
  • Determine the most appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, considering requested mechanical characteristics and behaviours, to manufacture the designed products
  • Carry out modelling techniques and use industrial tools for modelling and numerical simulation
  • Produce technical papers (simulations, technical drawings, etc.) and carry out project specifications
  • Design projects, with technical and economic mastery of every phase
  • Manage and motivate one or more teams and collaborate with various departments

Internships

  • Discovery of the Engineering Profession lasting a minimum of 6 weeks at the end of the 3rd year
  • Assistant Engineer, minimum 8-week internship at the end of the 4th year
  • Engineer, 6-month internship during the programme’s final semester

Work-study

Possibility to carry out the final year in a work-study programme under a professional contract with a company.

International

  • A mobility period abroad is mandatory (for French students only): visit our International web page
  • Possibility of a double-degree at UQAC (Canada), l’École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS) in Montréal (Canada), Georgia Tech (USA and Campus Lorraine), ENI Monastir (Tunisia)

Working fields

Research Engineer, R&D Engineer, Computation Engineer, Operations Manager, Technico-Commercial Engineer, Project Manager, Business Manager, Works Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Consultant…
