Student Life
The student life at Polytech Nancy is animated by the Students Office. This student association harmonizes school life and leisure time thanks to a snack bar, a sports hall and over 30 clubs.
The clubs
- Sports: tennis, weight lifting, handball, swimming, soccer, cheerleading, rugby, …
- Artistic and cultural: cinema, photography, games, music, theater, chorus, circus arts, …
- Misc.: robotics, poker, computer, etc
Each student can find what they are looking for amongst the choice of clubs. It is even possible for a student to create their own club; which is a highly encouraged initiative and would receive the help and assistance necessary to achieve this goal.
The events
All events are organized by different teams such as the “orientation” team who takes care of new students, the “leisure” team who organizes parties throughout the year, the “travel” team who organises travels, etc.
The most important events of the School are:
- The Gala is a formal dinner party organized annually which enables to reunite, in a convivial and festive atmosphere, students, staff and alumni of the School.
- The Joutes du Téméraire is the biggest festival of role playing and games in the East of France. It has been organized for 25 years by a team of students from Polytech Nancy.
- The 24h of Stan and Aquacités: students largely participate in these two events that are organized alternatively every other year in the city of Nancy. Activities for these two events include a race with cars, rafts or water jousting.
Students organize each week dinners, outings, parties or sporting tournaments at Polytech Nancy or in Nancy.
At Polytech Nancy, there is a real culture of personal investment in student life. It is very educative and gratifying to give personal time and energy to others and strong bonds are formed between team members. Each student has the opportunity to be involved in one way or another.
